Garden Courtyard

Romantically adorned with over 100 different varieties of lush flowers and plants, Estancia La Jolla's outdoor Garden Courtyard is the perfect setting for a Southern California Wedding.   Secluded between the wings of Estancia La Jolla's California Ranch style hotel, a perfectly manicured lawn is framed by magnolia trees, colorful blooms, and picturesque arbors entwined with vines and greenery. 

In true wedding fashion, many subtle romantic details can be found throughout the Courtyard.  The lush florals have been chosen not only for their beauty but their symbolic names - the "Yesterday-Today-And-Tomorrow" (Brunfelsia pauciflora), the "White Doves" (Camellia Sasanqua), the "Princess Flower"(Tibouchina urvilleana), and the "Angel's Trumpet" (Brugmansia ‘Charles Grimaldi).

The courtyard was designed with a bride's grand entrance in mind: two tiled staircases sweep down from the white adobe buildings and meet at a landing where the bride makes a dramatic pause , taken in by her guests, before descending the final steps to the landscaped courtyard. Then she makes her way down the aisle to join her groom in front of the subtle trickling stone fountain.  Perfect for larger weddings, the Garden Courtyard allows a great deal of flexibility for personalized ceremony set ups, spacious guest seating, and unique décor themes.
