Team Building Activities

Let our recreation team help you to plan, organize, and implement fun energizing group activities that will create lasting memories. The Recreation Department at Estancia La Jolla provides guests with an exciting and fun array of team building programs and events. All activities are designed to fit your group's needs and to accomplish team goals and objectives. If necessary, the programs can be modified to better accommodate individual requests and expectations. Below is a glimpse of the fun you can have at Estancia La Jolla. Events, time frames and pricing can vary and exact quotes can be provided on request.

The Rod Iron Chef

This culinary masterpiece offers the best of Estancia La Jolla. As your group is divided into innovation teams, the challenge is to create the evening's appetizer, main course or dessert. The battle is hosted by a professional Chef and each team is given his or her own "food expert" as an assistant. A variety of basic food items and a variety of exotic options are placed on a center station for teams to view. Ideal for groups with more than 50 participants, the goal is to prepare delectable dishes to renew and inspire.

Build-a-Boat & Hope it Floats Regatta

This exciting teambuilding program is designed to involve all team members. Relying on their creativity, limited resources, and leadership skills, the crew will construct their own boat and paddle it across the pool against competition. Each team will brainstorm on vessel design, evaluate strategies and choose a course of action. They will work together to construct a seaworthy craft out of cardboard and duct tape. The crew also has to come to a consensus on choosing a captain and first mate, naming their boat and presenting it to the group and judges. Through teamwork and team spirit, the crew will sail to success - we hope!
