What is check-in/out time? 

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM. Check out is at 11:00 AM.

Is Estancia a non-smoking hotel?

Yes, our resort does not allow smoking of any type anywhere on-premise including balconies, patios, fire-pits, and on our pool deck.

What is included within the destination fee?

The $39 (plus taxes) daily destination fee at our luxury resort in La Jolla includes in-room coffee & tea, two eco-friendly reusable bottles of water, one complimentary hour with our Zybra E-bikes, unlimited premium wireless internet, weekend yoga and self-guided beach hike, 24-hour airline check in/boarding pass printing capabilities, “secret spirits” experience with our resident mixologist at Greenfinch Bar, unlimited toll free & local phone calls, closet of board games and library, local attraction ticket discounts (see front desk for details), and complimentary Hydrating Foot Treatment with Service.

What are the dining options on property?

Our restaurant Mustangs & Burros is open for dinner daily, with a happy hour from Mon – Thu. Newly renovated Greenfinch Restaurant is now serving breakfast and brunch. Greenfinch Bar is open for cocktails and small bites in the evening.

We also have The Trading Post for fresh coffee and pastries, grab-and-go food, drink and picnic baskets. Visit the Dining page to view hours and menus.

Can non-hotel guests purchase a day pass for the pool?

Yes. Day Pass and Poolside Cabana Rentals are available. Visit our Pool & Cabanas page to reserve. You may also call the spa directly at 855-318-7602 or submit a request via our Online Concierge.

Is outside food & beverage allowed?

We do not allow outside food & beverage.

How do I arrange an early check-in or late check out for my stay?

Early check-ins and late check outs are based on availability and can only be confirmed on the day of. Please contact our Front Desk team at (858) 412-0100 to check on availability.

What is your lost & found policy?

All lost & found items are held for 30 days from your departure date.

What are your current parking options?

Valet parking is available for $48 per night and self-parking at $40 per night for overnight guests.

All of our outlets are open daily. Please see details below.

  • DINING OUTLETS: Visit the Dining page for the most up-to-date dining hours and options.
  • SPA: Spa Estancia is open daily and accepting treatment appointments. Gift Certificates are also available for purchase.
  • FITNESS CENTER: The fitness center is open and adheres to current health and safety standards. Outdoor workout equipment is available upon request. Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa offers guests unlimited access to its 820-square-foot executive fitness center featuring Life Fitness™ training equipment including treadmills, elliptical machines, and recumbent bikes.

Reservations

What is the cancellation policy?

Generally, reservations must be cancelled 72 hours prior to arrival date by 4:00 PM local time to avoid a one night’s room and tax charge. Additional restrictions may apply depending on the rate, stay dates, and room type booked; please see your confirmation letter for additional details. For reservations made via third parties or travel professionals, please contact your booking provider for information on their policies.

What is the minimum age requirement to check-in to a room?

The minimum age requirement is 18.

Will I be charged when making a reservation?

Generally, a credit card will not be charged at time of booking. This is just to guarantee (hold your reservation). We will not use the credit card on file as a form of payment at check in. You may use the same credit card that you used at time of booking at check-in but please be advised that you must present the physical card at check in. In some cases, depending on the type of reservation you are booking, you may be asked for a pre-paid non-refundable deposit. In that case we will charge the credit card you have used to book the reservation. Any other advanced payments on reservations where that credit card will not be present at check-in will require a credit card authorization form that can be sent digitally to you. What is required upon check-in?

A state issued photo identification or passport and a valid credit card to authorize for your full amount of stay, plus incidentals for an additional for $150 per night. A hold will be placed on your credit card for this entire amount. At time of check out, the card on file will be charged for only the amount due on the room bill and not was advanced held at check in. Any remaining funds held at check in will be released immediately at check out. Please note that your banking institution may take 5-10 business days to release those funds back into your account. Please contact your banking institution for specifics on pending transactions.

What forms of payment are accepted to pay for my stay?

All major credit cards are accepted to pay for you room and to guarantee your stay.

May I use a debit card at check in?

Yes, we do accept debit cards. However, we do not advise this if this will be your single source of funds during your stay. The funds will be immediately held from your account.

What if I need to depart early from my stay?

An early departure fee of room & tax may apply. Please contact the hotel for further details.

Is there a way I can pay for another guest’s stay if I will not be at the hotel?

Yes. Please allow 72 hrs prior to pre-arrival for pre-payments. Please send all advanced payment inquiries to [email protected].

Rooms

Do you have ADA rooms?

Yes. We have ADA accessible and hearing accessible rooms available. Please contact us at 858-550-1000 to make these arrangements.

Do you have connecting rooms?

Yes. We do have connecting room options, on a select few of our room types. Typically, a connecting room configuration will be a room with one King bed connecting to a room with two Queen beds. Please contact us at 858-550-1000 to make these arrangements.

How many guests can I have in the room?

Maximum occupancy varies by room type. A king room can only accommodate 2 people, the maximum in any room is 4 people.

Do you have rollaway beds?

Yes, rollaway beds are available for $45/night + tax. Rooms with 2 queen beds cannot accommodate a rollaway bed due to city fire code.

Do your hotel rooms have bathtubs?

Most of our suites include a tub, however there are a select few ADA accessible rooms with roll-in showers.

Are cribs available?

Yes, we do have mini cribs upon request at no additional cost.

Is there hypoallergenic bedding available?

The bedding in the rooms are hypoallergenic. We do have feathered pillows upon request.

What kind of coffee maker is in the room?

We have Keurig Coffee machines in our guest rooms. Coffee is replenished daily.

Transportation & Directions

Where is Estancia La Jolla located?

Estancia La Jolla is in the Torrey Pines region of La Jolla – directly across the street from the University of California, San Diego campus. We are a short distance from Torrey Pines State Reserve, La Jolla Shores, downtown La Jolla, and University Town Center. Our address is 9700 N Torrey Pines Rd., La Jolla, CA.

Do you offer a shuttle service?

Our shuttle service is permanently unavailable. Please contact our concierge if you desire transportation services to and from our hotel near the UCSD campus.

What are the parking options for hotel guests?

Valet parking is available for $48 per night and self-parking at $40 per night for overnight guests.

Pets

Is the hotel pet-friendly?

Yes, we love to meet your furry friends. Estancia La Jolla is a pet-friendly hotel in La Jolla.

Does the hotel allow service animals?

Dogs are the only service animals allowed.

Is there a pet fee?

Yes. There is a non-refundable fee of $150. All guests staying in the hotel with pets will be required to complete a pet policy agreement.

Does the hotel provide dog walking or pet sitting services?

The hotel does not, but please email our concierge at [email protected] for a list of local dog walking, pet sitting and pet boarding options. The concierge would also be happy to assist with reservations.
